The Glove Corporation, was founded in 1922 by the Sturm family and has been manufacturing gloves for more than 80 years. The company began manufacturing fire fighting gloves in 1972. We are the oldest family owned fire glove manufacturer in the United States.
We manufactured gloves and racing clothing, under the names PYROTECT and WORTH in Alexandria, Indiana before relocating manufacturing operations to Heber Springs, Arkansas in 1952.

We have made more than 25 million pairs of gloves and we are proud to be an ISO9001 (International Standards Organization) certified corporation since 2001.

Every glove that we make is hand crafted and our fire gloves are manufactured to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Cal/Osha, EN and ISO 1553 standards. Fire fighting gloves are tested by Safety Equipment Industries and exceed NFPA requirements. Our fire fighting gloves are worn by professional and volunteer fire departments all over the United States, and in many countries all over the world. Our fire gloves are also used by industrial fire departments and firefighters on board ships.
We can make custom gloves with customer logo for any application from freezer gloves to high heat and fire fighting applications.
